Membership Terms

These Membership Terms explain how vehicle wash memberships work when you sign up through Tuxedo Drive.
The Membership program is operated by the participating car wash location using the Tuxedo Drive platform. Tuxedo Drive provides the software used for membership enrollment, billing, account management, and vehicle identification systems. Wash services are provided by the participating car wash location.
By enrolling in a membership, you agree to these terms. Your enrollment requires your affirmative agreement — we do not use pre-checked boxes or assume consent.
These Membership Terms are supplemental to and incorporate by reference the Tuxedo Drive Terms of Use, including its limitation of liability, disclaimer of warranties, dispute resolution, and arbitration provisions. In the event of a conflict between these Membership Terms and the Terms of Use on a membership-specific matter, these Membership Terms control. Your use of the membership is also subject to the Tuxedo Drive Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and share your information, including vehicle and license plate data.
Overview
Membership plans allow a registered vehicle to receive washes at participating car wash locations during the active billing period.
Plans may be unlimited or may include a specific number of washes per billing period, depending on the membership selected.
Membership availability, pricing, wash packages, and program features may vary by location.
Memberships are intended for personal use and are tied to a specific vehicle.
Billing and Renewal
Memberships are billed on a recurring monthly basis to the payment method provided at signup. This is an automatically renewing subscription. You will be charged each month until you cancel.
Your membership renews automatically each month unless canceled.
The billing date is based on the date you started the membership.
If your billing date does not occur in a given month, billing will occur on the last day of that month.
By enrolling, you authorize the participating car wash location, using the Tuxedo Drive platform, to charge your payment method for each billing period until you cancel.
Prices and available membership plans may vary by location.
Renewal Notice
Before each renewal, you will receive advance notice of the upcoming charge. This notice will include:
- the renewal amount
- the renewal date
- instructions for how to cancel before the charge is processed
Renewal notices are sent to the email address provided at enrollment.
If you have not provided an email address, it is your responsibility to track your renewal date to avoid unwanted charges.
Cancellation
You may cancel your membership at any time.
Cancellation stops future billing but does not refund the current billing period.
Your membership remains active until the end of the current billing cycle.
Memberships may be canceled through the same method used to enroll:
- If you enrolled online: you may cancel online through your account, by contacting the car wash location by email or phone, or by visiting the car wash location in person.
- If you enrolled in person: you may cancel in person at the participating car wash location by completing a cancellation form, or by calling the participating car wash location directly.
Regardless of how you enrolled, you may always contact the participating car wash location directly to request cancellation.
Cancellation must occur before the next billing date to avoid the next monthly charge.
We will process your cancellation promptly and confirm it by email.
Membership Pause and Resumption
You may voluntarily pause your membership to temporarily stop billing and wash access.
Pausing Your Membership
To pause your membership, log in to your account or contact the car wash location. You may optionally set a date on which your membership will automatically resume.
While your membership is paused:
- no charges are processed
- wash access is suspended for the registered vehicle
- your membership remains on file and does not need to be re-enrolled
Resuming Your Membership
You may resume your membership at any time through your account or by contacting the car wash location. Your billing will restart with the next scheduled cycle, and you will receive confirmation by email.
If you set an auto-resume date when pausing, your membership will resume automatically on that date and billing will restart at the beginning of the next billing period.
Automatic Resumption by Vehicle Detection
If you opt in, your membership can be automatically resumed when your registered vehicle is detected at a participating car wash via license plate recognition — for example, when you return from vacation.
By enabling this option:
- you consent to your membership resuming automatically when your vehicle’s license plate is recognized at a participating location (see our Privacy Policy for how license plate and vehicle data is collected and used)
- billing restarts at the beginning of the next billing period following detection
- you will be notified by email when automatic resumption occurs
You may opt out of automatic resumption by vehicle detection at any time through your account settings or by contacting the car wash location. If you opt out, your membership will remain paused until you manually resume it or until a previously set resume date is reached.
Automatic resumption by vehicle detection requires that your vehicle’s license plate on file is current and readable. If the plate cannot be verified, the membership will remain paused.
Pause Duration
Pause duration may be limited by the participating car wash location’s policies. If applicable, any maximum pause duration will be disclosed when you initiate the pause.
Vehicle Limits
Memberships are valid for one registered vehicle.
Memberships are linked to the vehicle’s license plate or other vehicle identifier and may only be used by that vehicle.
Memberships may not be shared between vehicles.
If you replace your vehicle, you may update the registered vehicle associated with your membership.
Certain vehicles may be restricted from automated washes due to size, modifications, or safety concerns.
Vehicle Verification
Membership access may be verified using license plate recognition, vehicle identification systems, or other verification methods used by the participating car wash location.
If the registered vehicle cannot be verified, the location may require alternate verification or deny membership access.
Attempting to obscure, alter, or manipulate a vehicle’s license plate or identification in order to bypass membership rules may result in suspension or termination of the membership.
Usage Rules
Memberships are intended for reasonable personal vehicle use.
Members may wash their registered vehicle according to the rules of their selected membership plan.
For unlimited plans, washes may be used as often as desired but must be separated by a reasonable time interval between visits and may not interfere with normal wash operations.
For limited membership plans, a specific number of washes may be included during each billing period.
Unused washes do not roll over to future billing periods.
If a limited membership plan includes a wash limit, additional washes beyond the included number may be purchased at 50% off the regular wash package price and will be charged to the payment method on file.
Memberships may not be:
- transferred between vehicles
- shared with other drivers
- used for commercial washing without the appropriate membership
Commercial vehicles, fleet vehicles, and rideshare vehicles may require a separate business membership plan offered by the participating car wash location.
Membership rules and eligibility may vary by location.
Location Availability
Membership benefits apply only at participating car wash locations.
Participating locations may offer different wash packages, pricing, and membership plans.
Membership features may vary by location.
Service Availability
Wash services may occasionally be unavailable due to weather conditions, maintenance, equipment issues, or other operational factors.
Temporary closures or service interruptions do not extend the billing period.
Safety and Vehicle Condition
Vehicles must be safe and suitable for automated wash equipment.
Vehicles with loose parts, damaged components, aftermarket modifications, or other conditions that could interfere with wash equipment may be refused service.
The participating car wash location may decline service if washing the vehicle could damage equipment or the vehicle itself.
Failed Payments
If a payment cannot be processed, your membership may be temporarily suspended until payment information is updated.
The participating car wash location may retry the charge or request updated payment details.
Membership access may resume once billing is successfully processed.
Billing Disputes and Chargebacks
If you believe a charge was made in error, please contact the participating car wash location directly before filing a dispute with your bank or card issuer. Most billing concerns can be resolved quickly, and contacting the location first is the fastest path to a resolution.
To dispute a charge, contact the car wash location using the email address or phone number provided at enrollment. Include your name, the date of the charge, and a brief description of the concern.
If a chargeback is filed with your bank or card issuer without first contacting the car wash location, the membership will be suspended pending resolution. The participating car wash location may submit records to your bank including membership enrollment confirmation, accepted terms, billing history, and wash visit records as evidence that the charge was authorized.
Filing a chargeback for a charge that was legitimately incurred — including charges for periods during which washes were available and used — constitutes chargeback abuse and may result in permanent termination of the membership.
Refunds
Membership fees are non-refundable.
Unused washes do not roll over to future billing periods.
If a price increase takes effect without your prior consent as required by law, you may be entitled to a prorated refund for the affected billing period. To request a refund in this situation, contact the car wash location where you enrolled.
Promotions and Discounts
Promotional codes and discounts may be offered by participating car wash locations from time to time.
Only one promotional code or discount may be applied per transaction. Offers cannot be combined or stacked with other promotions, discounts, or membership rates unless explicitly stated.
The duration and terms of a discount — such as whether it applies once, for a set number of billing periods, or indefinitely — will be stated at the time the offer is presented. Once a limited-duration discount expires, billing reverts to the standard membership rate.
Discounts are applied at checkout and cannot be applied retroactively to past charges.
Promotional offers are subject to eligibility requirements and may be modified or discontinued by the participating car wash location at any time.
Program Changes
Participating car wash locations may update membership pricing, plans, or program features from time to time.
Material Changes
If a change is material — such as a change to price, wash limits, or key program terms — you will receive notice before the change takes effect. That notice will include instructions for how to cancel if you do not accept the updated terms.
Continued use of the membership after the effective date of a material change means you accept the updated terms.
Price Increases
If the price of your membership increases, your consent will be required before the higher price takes effect. You will be notified of the new price and given the opportunity to accept or cancel before your next billing date.
If a price increase is applied without your prior consent, you may request a prorated refund for any amount charged above the previously agreed price.
These protections apply in addition to your rights under applicable law, including New York General Business Law § 527-a.
Termination
A membership may be suspended or terminated if it is used in violation of these terms or in a way that disrupts normal operations.
Examples include:
- membership sharing
- commercial or fleet use without the appropriate plan
- fraudulent activity or chargeback abuse
- attempting to bypass vehicle identification systems
- unsafe vehicle conditions
If a membership is terminated for misuse, access may be revoked without refund for the current billing period.
Cameras and Monitoring
Participating car wash locations may use cameras, license plate recognition systems, and other monitoring technology for operational, safety, and membership verification purposes.
License plate recognition may also be used for automatic membership resumption if you have opted in to that feature, as described in the Membership Pause and Resumption section above.
Platform Role
Tuxedo Drive is a software company. It is not a car wash operator, and it is not a party to the membership agreement between you and the participating car wash location.
When you enroll in a membership, you are entering into a service agreement with the participating car wash location — an independently owned and operated business. That business is responsible for providing wash services, honoring membership benefits, setting pricing, and handling disputes related to service. Tuxedo Drive provides the software platform that the car wash location uses to manage memberships, billing, vehicle identification, and customer accounts.
The car wash location operates the Tuxedo Drive platform under a separate business agreement with Tuxedo Drive. You are not a party to that agreement, and it does not create any obligation from Tuxedo Drive to you beyond what is stated in these Membership Terms and the Tuxedo Drive Terms of Use.
When charges appear on your payment statement, they are made on behalf of the participating car wash location, not Tuxedo Drive. Tuxedo Drive processes payments as a service to the car wash location.
Tuxedo Drive makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding the quality, availability, or fitness of wash services provided by participating locations. Claims arising from the provision of wash services — including service quality, equipment damage, or refusal of service — should be directed to the participating car wash location.
Text Messaging
If you share your phone number during checkout, the participating car wash location may send you text messages. What you receive depends on how you’re using the service.
If you’re signing up for a membership, you may receive messages related to your account — things like billing reminders, renewal confirmations, payment notifications, and updates about your plan. These messages are meant to keep your membership running without any surprises.
If you’re making a one-time wash purchase, you may receive a receipt for your wash. From time to time, the participating car wash location may also send you promotional messages or offers.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. After opting out, the car wash location will stop sending you text messages. Opting out does not affect your membership status or your ability to cancel.
Reply HELP to any message for contact information or assistance.
Sharing your phone number is optional. Not providing a number or opting out of messages does not limit your access to any car wash service.
Text messages are sent through the Tuxedo Drive platform on behalf of the participating car wash location.
Governing Law
These Membership Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
