Tuxedo Drive Privacy Policy
Last Updated: March 18, 2026 Effective Date: March 18, 2026
Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how Tuxedo Drive (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a Delaware corporation with offices at 2955 Shell Road, Brooklyn, New York 11224, collects, uses, and discloses information about you when you use our website at https://tuxedodrive.com and the Tuxedo Drive platform (collectively, the “Service”).
Tuxedo Drive is a software platform provider. We provide technology that participating car wash locations use to manage memberships, billing, vehicle identification, and customer accounts. Car wash services are provided by independently owned and operated car wash businesses, not by Tuxedo Drive.
By accessing or using the Service, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not consent, do not access or use the Service.
Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the Service before the changes take effect. The updated policy will be effective on the date stated at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after that date constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

How We Collect Your Information
We collect information in the following ways:
- Directly from you — when you register an account, enroll in a membership, make a purchase, or contact us
- Automatically — when you use the website, through cookies and similar technologies
- From participating car wash locations — when you visit a location that uses the Tuxedo Drive platform, including through license plate recognition (LPR) systems at the facility
- From our payment processor — Stripe, Inc. provides us with transaction confirmation and payment status; we do not store full card numbers
- From public sources — such as publicly available vehicle registration data
License Plate Recognition
Car wash locations that use the Tuxedo Drive platform may capture images of vehicle license plates using cameras at the facility. These images are processed to read the plate number for purposes of membership verification and, if you have opted in, automatic membership resumption. License plate numbers are associated with your account. This data is collected at the car wash facility, not through the website.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Membership and account management — enrolling you in memberships, processing billing, managing renewals, pauses, and cancellations
- Vehicle verification — confirming membership eligibility at car wash locations via license plate recognition
- Automatic membership resumption — if you opt in, resuming a paused membership when your vehicle is detected at a participating location
- Payment processing — charging your payment method on behalf of the participating car wash location
- Customer communications — sending billing confirmations, renewal notices, cancellation confirmations, and account updates by email or text message
- Customer support — responding to inquiries and resolving disputes
- Safety and fraud prevention — detecting unauthorized use, investigating chargeback abuse, and protecting the integrity of the platform
- Improving the Service — analyzing usage patterns to improve platform features
- Marketing and promotions — sending promotional offers from participating car wash locations, where you have not opted out
- Legal compliance and enforcement — complying with applicable law and enforcing our agreements
- Targeted advertising — we may use certain device and usage information for interest-based advertising; see Your Privacy Rights for opt-out options
How We Share Your Information
Participating Car Wash Locations
We share your information with the participating car wash location where you are enrolled. This includes your name, contact information, vehicle information, membership status, billing status, and wash visit records. The car wash location uses this information to manage your membership and provide wash services. The car wash location is an independent business operating under a separate agreement with Tuxedo Drive.
Payment Processor
We use a PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment processor to handle payment card transactions. When you provide payment information, it is transmitted directly to that processor. We receive transaction status and limited payment details (such as card type and last four digits) but do not store full card numbers.
Service Providers
We share information with third-party service providers that help us operate the platform, including:
- Analytics providers (to understand how the website is used)
- Email and SMS delivery services (to send transactional and marketing communications)
- Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers
- Customer support tools
We require these providers to use your information only for the purposes for which it was shared and to maintain appropriate security.
Advertising Partners
If you use our website, we may share device identifiers and usage data with advertising partners for targeted advertising purposes. Under California law, this may constitute “sharing” of personal information. See the California section below for your opt-out rights.
Legal Disclosures
We may disclose your information when required by law, regulation, or legal process, including to:
- Respond to subpoenas, court orders, or government requests
- Enforce our agreements and policies
- Protect the rights, property, or safety of Tuxedo Drive, our users, or the public
Business Transfers
If Tuxedo Drive is acquired, merged, or sells all or a portion of its assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity. We will notify you of any such change as required by law.
With Your Consent
We may share your information for other purposes with your explicit consent.
Retention of Your Information
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy and as required by law:
- Account and membership records — retained for the life of your account and for up to 3 years after account closure, for legal, tax, and dispute resolution purposes
- Transaction records — retained for up to 7 years to comply with tax and financial recordkeeping requirements
- License plate and vehicle data — retained while your membership is active and for up to 1 year after account closure
- Wash visit records — retained for up to 3 years after the visit, or as required for dispute resolution
- Communications — retained for up to 2 years
